A winter time opportunity to explore the edge of the largest forest region in Canada. In this vast boreal forest you will search for grey wolf, moose, elk, river otter and great grey owls. The daily guided excursions feature a combination of touring by car, snowshoeing, and if trail conditions allow, by dogsled in the Anglian Lake area adjacent and through Prince Albert National Park.
Interpretive guides share their love of nature and in-depth knowledge of the landscape with you during your travels through the woods, muskegs and lakes. They understand the patterns of wildlife and do their best to select the most likely routes and locations to find the boreal’s wild inhabitants as well as their tracks and signs. It is impossible to guarantee sightings, however, this area is well-known for its wildlife populations. February through to early March is the mating season for wolves and they are particularly vocal at this time. Keep your ears open as well as your eyes!
