Situated far from the lights of Churchill, the Tundra Buggy Lodge is the perfect place to view bears all day long and have optimal northern lights viewing at night (weather permitting). The lodge is also equipped with exterior field lights that enable guests to continue to watch the bears even after the sun goes down!
Two full-day Tundra Buggy excursions allow guests to explore the area beyond the Lodge and give plenty of photography opportunities.
The Tundra Buggy Lodge, located in the heart of polar bear country, offers a unique, immersive experience where guests can fall asleep and wake up with polar bears right outside the window. The lodge consists of two accommodation units, a lounge with Internet, computers and a café. Viewing platforms connect each unit and allow for outdoor photography.
Day 1 - Winnipeg
You will arrive in Winnipeg and check into the Four Points Sheraton at the James Armstrong Richardson International Airport.
Day 2 - Churchill
You will depart on an early morning flight to Churchill. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the Tundra Buggy launch for their trip across the Churchill Wildlife Management Area to the Tundra Buggy Lodge. You will spend their evening enjoying a delicious home cooked meal, socialising and watching the night sky for Northern Lights (weather permitting). Overnight Tundra Buggy Lodge.
Day 3 - Churchill
You will board the Tundra Buggy after breakfast for full-day excursions into the Churchill Wildlife Management Area. Time will be spent further afield from the lodge, exploring the tundra terrain and viewing the polar bears and other incredible wildlife. A picnic style lunch will be served on board. At the end of the day, you will return to the Tundra Buggy Lodge in time for a delicious, warming meal and a chance to relax in the lounge. Overnight Tundra Buggy Lodge.
Day 4 - Winnipeg
After breakfast, you will depart the lodge, participating on the last Tundra Buggy expedition, meandering slowly along the way. Upon arrival at launch, you will be transferred directly to the airport for an evening flight back to Winnipeg. You will check into the Four Points Sheraton hotel at the Winnipeg airport.
Day 5 - Depart
Depart Winnipeg.
