Price includes: Return internal airfare from Winnipeg to Churchill and to Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge, 2 nights in Winnipeg and 4 nights at the lodge on full board.
The remoteness of Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge provides you with exclusive access to one of the most pristine wilderness areas in the world. It is also strategically located in very
close proximity to significant polar bear denning activity.
Day 1 - Winnipeg
Arrive in Winnipeg and overnight. There will be an orientation meeting in the evening.
Day 2 - Churchill
Take an early morning flight to Churchill where you transfer to a private charter for your one hour flight to Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge. You may have some excellent opportunities for aerial photography during the flight. Your first day includes an interpretive walk on the inland Palsa Bogs and Tundra Ponds adjacent to the Taiga Forest and the Hudson Bay coastline. During the evening there will be an informative lecture or slide shows. If it is a clear night you may also have a chance to view one of the spectacular aurora borealis.
Days 3-5 - Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge
Daily activities may include the following:
• An ATV coastal tour to the tidal flats and Hudson Bay shoreline.
• A full day tour of the coastline of Hudson Bay to photograph polar bears and other abundant wildlife in their unique environment.
• Staying close to the Lodge to take advantage of opportunities that present themselves as the day unfolds, to photograph the King of the Arctic and other wildlife.
Day 6 - Churchill / Winnipeg
Spend the morning at the lodge and head back to Churchill after lunch and your onward flight to Winnipeg. Spend your final night in Winnipeg.
Day 7 - Depart
Return to the UK or extend your trip.
