Day 1 - Fly from the UK to Calgary
Collect your rental car on arrival.
The dynamic city of Calgary is located 90 minutes from the Rocky Mountains and includes attractions such as the Calgary Tower, Glenbow Museum and the Botanical Gardens, as well as great shopping and a variety of restaurants. It is also home to the Calgary Stampede, which takes place in July each year.

Day 3 Drive to Banff, approx. 80 miles
Be sure to visit the Cave and Basin National Historic Site, the birthplace of Banff National Park for interactive displays and exhibits, interpretive trails, bird watching, hiking and cycling. Take a ride on the Banff Gondola, which rises 700 metres (2,310 feet) to the summit of Sulphur Mountain (2,286 metres/7,544 feet) for panoramic views of the Bow Valley, Banff town and surrounding mountain peaks. Take a dip in the famous hot mineral waters at the Upper Hot Springs pool. The facility also includes spa, massage and aromatherapy services.

Day 5 - Drive to Jasper, approx. 165 miles
Travel the scenic Icefields Parkway, Canada’s second highest paved highway and one of the country’s most scenic drives. Stop at the Glacier Skywalk and the Columbia Icefield. The Glacier Skywalk consists of a 400 metre interpretive boardwalk and a glass-floored observation platform extending 30 metres out over the Sunwapta Valley. At the Columbia Icefield, you can board a Brewster Ice Explorer and travel onto the icy slopes of the Athabasca Glacier.
Jasper National Park is the largest of Canada’s Rocky Mountain national parks, (4,200 square miles). Many of the park’s striking features are accessible by road – Sunwapta and Athabasca Falls, Miette Hot-Springs and glacier-clad Mount Edith Cavell. The Jasper Tramway is the longest cable car in Canada, and the 360-degree view (weather permitting) – some 60 miles to the west to Mount Robson, and about 45 miles to the south to the Columbia Icefield – is well worth the trip. Visit Maligne Lake, one of the most photographed lakes in the world, and enjoy a one and a half-hour cruise.

Day 7 - Drive to Clearwater, approx. 200 miles
Travel the Yellowhead Highway and cross into the province of British Columbia. Clearwater is a perfect base to enjoy the activities of Wells Grey Provincial Park. One of the less visited parks in the Rockies, there is plenty of space here to and mountains, forests, rivers and lakes to explore. Helmcken Falls, Canada’s fourth highest waterfall, is just one of 39 named waterfalls, and you can raft, kayak, hike or horse-ride in the park and really get back to nature.

Day 9 - Drive to Kelowna, approx. 180 miles
Kelowna is your gateway to the Okanagan Valley and is birthplace of winemaking in British Columbia. With over 30 wineries within a 20 minute drive, you’ll find plenty of terroir to swirl, sip and savour. The area has five wine trails which you can discover on your own or join a tour and let someone else worry about the driving. Situated on Okanagan Lake there are lots of water related activities here, if wine isn’t your thing, or you can shop in the galleries and boutiques or enjoy the local farm to table restaurants.

Day 11 - Drive to Osoyoos, approx. 75 miles
Enjoy a spectacular drive through British Columbia's world-famous wine country and explore the quiet town of Osoyoos. Stroll along some of the 19kms of sandy beaches of Osoyoos Lake, or visit the unique Haynes Point Provincial Park where the park access road takes you out on a narrow spit in the middle of the lake. Sample more of the regions world-class wines either at one of the many vineyards, or in the downtown bars and restaurants, which also serve some of the freshest local produce.
This region is home to the Osoyoos First Nation. The name Osoyoos is derived from Soyoos, an Aboriginal word meaning ‘gathered together’. Explore the Aboriginal culture and a wide range of unique services and activities this region has to offer, including legends of Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Center or and the local wine at the Nk'Mip Cellars.

Day 13 - Drive to Vancouver, approx. 250 miles
Vancouver is one of the world's most beautiful cities, rich with culture, nature and world-class shopping, dining and hotels. It is also home to the Coast Salish Peoples including the Tsleil-Waututh, Musqueam and Squamish Nations. Explore Aboriginal culture at the Klahowya Village in Stanley Park and discover First Nations treasures at the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art. Vancouver offers outstanding opportunities for outdoor adventure and the sophisticated amenities of a world-class city. Take advantage of the city’s ocean-side location, with plenty of green space and outdoor experiences in the mountains 20 minutes north of downtown. After a busy day, wind-down over a glass of BC wine and a locally inspired meal, or pamper yourself at one of Vancouver’s unique spas.

Day 15 - Return to the UK from Vancouver.

UK passport holders should ensure that they have completed the online Electronic Travel Authorisation form before they travel
here. The Government of Canada recommends you apply for your ETA when you start planning your trip to Canada, however it can be done closer to your travel date.
The charge for an ETA is currently $7 per person which can be paid on a Visa, Mastercard or American Express card. Your ETA is valid for five years from date of issue or the expiry date of your passport, whichever is sooner.
