The park is renowned for its hiking trails, with over 104kms of trails to choose from, ranging from easy ½km loops to a demanding 50km circuit around the park. Depart Fundy National Park and continue along the Fundy Coastal Drive to Saint John, via St. Martins – a scenic fishing village with a famous shipbuilding heritage. Saint John is New Brunswick’s largest city and is steeped in history with lots to see and do. Places to visit include Carleton Martello Tower National Historic Site, the old city market, Loyalist House, the New Brunswick Museum and probably the most famous – the Reversing Falls. Morning at leisure to explore the area further. From bustling downtown streets to natural wonders along the Bay of Fundy, Saint John is your centre for adventure! A bustling and historic port City waiting to be explored. Suggestions include: Take an invigorating walking tour of the oldest incorporated city in Canada, shop at the historic Saint John City Market or perhaps witness the power of the Reversing Rapids, where the highest tides in the world reverse the flow of the mighty St. John River. Also Journey through 350 million years of natural history at the New Brunswick Museum or perhaps visit the amazing Bay of Fundy ecosystem at the Irving Nature Park. Enjoy a nature cruise departing from St. Andrews, cruise through the narrow island passages of the Deer Island Archipelago en route to the open Bay of Fundy. In season, expect see whales, porpoises, seals, seabirds and bald eagles.
